Dr. Sheetal Patil
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Sheetal Patil is a distinguished orthodontist renowned for her expertise in the field, with practices located in Fremont
and San Ramon, CA. She has a robust educational foundation, having completed a two-year Fellowship in Craniofacial Research at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, followed by three years of specialized orthodontic training at Jacksonville University, Florida.
Dr. Patil’s clinical philosophy is grounded in a deep understanding of facial growth, neuromuscular balance, and airway physiology. She completed a two-year Fellowship in Craniofacial Research at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, which shaped her expertise in skeletal development, airway anatomy, and the interaction between form and function. She later completed her orthodontic specialty training at Jacksonville University, following years of experience as a practicing dentist in multiple international settings.
Her practice is known for an integrated airway and sleep-focused approach, utilizing CBCT-based airway analysis, maxillary skeletal expansion (MSE/MARPE), orthopedic and orthodontic appliances, and collaboration with myofunctional therapists, ENTs, and sleep physicians. Dr. Patil incorporates myofunctional therapy principles into diagnosis and treatment planning to address tongue posture, oral muscle function, mouth breathing, and neuromuscular adaptation, recognizing their critical role in treatment stability and sleep health.
Dr. Patil actively treats patients with sleep-disordered breathing, including those with pediatric airway insufficiency, adult obstructive sleep apnea risk factors, and compromised nasal or oropharyngeal airways, using orthodontics as part of a multidisciplinary care model. She has completed advanced education in sleep medicine and airway-focused orthodontics, and emphasizes the orthodontist’s role in early identification, prevention, and co-management of sleep-related breathing disorders.
Restricted airflow and compromised sleep can influence facial development, learning and behavior in children, and overall health and energy in adults. Addressing these concerns early and thoughtfully can have lifelong impact.
Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of orthodontic treatments, such as maxillary skeletal expanders (MSE/MARPE), braces, clear aligners, and Invisalign, catering to both children and adults. Dr. Patil's dedication to providing top-tier orthodontic care is well-recognized, bolstered by her strong background in general dentistry and orthodontics.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Patil is actively involved in community service, both locally and globally. Her practice supports local boy scout troops, schools, and PTAs in San Ramon and Fremont through various fundraisers and drives. On a global scale, she has participated in mission trips to India and El Salvador, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact worldwide.
Dr. Patil and her family also engage in fundraising activities through bike riding for organizations like Rotary, Bike MS, and Best Buddies, showcasing their passion for community service and a healthy lifestyle. She believes in the joy of riding 30-50 miles for a good cause, followed by enjoying lunch with fellow riders.
Her dedication extends to organized dentistry as well; she currently serves on the board for the California Association of Orthodontists and is an active member of the Legislative Committee for the California Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Patil's multifaceted contributions to her field and community highlight her as a leader and innovator in orthodontics.

is our Lead Dental Assistant.
She provides great customer service to all our patients, loves working with kids, and hopes to give them the best orthodontic experience. She works alongside Dr. Patil in long procedures, and gives instructions on how to take care your braces during the process of Orthodontic treatment. She is CPR certified and is on track to become a Registered Dental Assistant. Outside of work, she enjoys taking care of her children and watching Raiders football games.

Susan
is our Financial Coordinator. All your questions and concerns related to finance will be addressed by her. She will do her best to work with you, your budget, and your insurance. With over 9 years experience in dental field, orthodontics has been her favorite field to work in. On her time off she likes to travel and spend time with her family.
Bhakti
Bhakti is one of our Administrative Coordinators. She is an expert in managing your appointments and schedule, making sure that you receive the care you need in a timely manner. She ensures that operations at the office run smoothly and is there to help you with any of your questions or concerns. Outside of the office, she loves to draw and paint, takes nature walks, and enjoys cooking delicious meals.

Oscar is one of our Dental Assistants. He is responsible for a wide range of duties, including lab manufacturing, taking impressions, chair-side assisting, adjustments, and tray set-ups. He takes great pride in his work, paying close attention to detail to ensure that everything is done to the highest possible standard. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active by exercising and spending quality time with his beloved pets.

is one of our Dental Assistants. She plays a critical role in our practice, ensuring that lab cases are ordered and arrive on time so that our patients can receive the best possible care. She is committed to providing exceptional service and support to our patients and Dr. Patil. Outside of the office, she enjoys decorating cakes and traveling.
